Our Credit Success Workshop will provide the tools you need to reach your financial goals. You will learn directly from a Way Finders' certified counselor through interactive and engaging activities. After you complete your workshop you will have the opportunity to meet with a HUD-certified housing counselor to discuss your individual goals. First Time Homebuyer three-day workshop will be held on zoom Feb. 12, 19, and 26, 2025 from 5:30pm-8:30pm. All dates must be attended. The workshop will begin promptly at 5:30 pm and last until 8:30 pm on all three dates. You will receive your access link to the workshop approximately 1-2 days before the workshop date. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** There is a $75.00 non-refundable registration fee and attendance is required for all sessions. No shows will not be refunded or rescheduled. After completing the workshop, you will receive a Letter of Completion. In order to receive your official certificate you must complete the Certificate Request Form prior to closing. ** If you are a couple purchasing a home together, you will only need to purchase one ticket for your household. Households will be verified, and following completion of a joint certificate request form, one certificate will be issued displaying both individuals' names. This workshop includes an overview of basic residential rental property management in Massachusetts that provides an introduction to the Massachusetts laws that govern the rental relationship. Important for all owners of rental properties, including owners of 2-4 family homes. Topics covered include: • proper tenant screening • relations with tenants • lead paint laws • types of tenancies • State Sanitary Code • fair housing laws • the eviction process • how to deal with drug problems When: Saturday, March 28, 2026, 9:00am until 2:00pm Where: ZOOM Certificates of completion are awarded after intake materials are processed and attendance is verified; this workshop satisfies the course requirement for first-time buyers of multi-family homes.
